Pay Equity and Employment Equity
Pay Equity legislation has been in most Canadian provinces and Federal jurisdictions for a few decades. Organizations that developed and posted their pay equity plans according to their required posting dates are required to maintain pay equity. HRP has developed a specific expertise in Pay Equity through the early days of pay equity in the early 1990’s. Since then, we have provided assistance to organizations undergoing the random audits that are being carried out by Ontario’s Pay Equity Commission to ensure that these organizations comply with maintenance obligations. We also assist in working with clients in resolving employee complaints that are raised through the Ontario Review Services. Employment Equity Legislation in Canada applies to Federal Government, Federally Regulated organizations and Crown Corporations, as well as Federal Contractors that meet the criteria set out in the Federal Contractors Program. HRP has provided assistance to clients in meeting their Federal Employment Equity obligations. |
